Vocational Courses

With competition for jobs at an all time high, vocational courses are an increasingly practical way of forging a successful career. These courses offer students the chance to learn specific and practical skills tailored to certain career paths that employers are looking for. Such skills will often be acquired whilst doing paid apprenticeships. Vocational courses used to be available only to a very small number of trades. Now City & Guilds offers over 500 courses in 28 industries; whatever your skills and interests, there will be a course to suit you.

Whereas some students may leave university unsure of how to find a job suited to their skills and experience, students from vocational courses will already have attained the skills necessary for their chosen job markets and have gained the crucial experience required in that field. This is why The Vocational Enterprise Foundation believes so passionately in giving young people the chances that vocational courses offer.
