Young entrepreneurs in Rwanda are building innovative, socially responsive businesses that create jobs, solve community challenges, and contribute to inclusive economic growth. Yet for many micro and small businesses, the cost of accessing high-quality business development support remains a real barrier.
The Youth Social Entrepreneurship Program (YSEP) seeks to equip young entrepreneurs in Rwanda with the skills, mentorship, and networks required to develop sustainable businesses that generate income, employment, and positive social impact.
YSEP is delivered through a structured, cohort-based model that combines practical learning with hands-on application:
Entrepreneurship Training Workshops
Practical sessions covering business modeling, financial literacy, marketing, pricing, operations, and growth planning.
Mentorship and Coaching
One-on-one and group mentorship from experienced professionals and entrepreneurs, supporting participants to apply learning directly to their businesses.
Peer Learning and Networking
A cohort-based approach that fosters collaboration, shared learning, and long-term professional relationships, with automatic registration in the YSEP Alumni Network.
Business Pitching and Visibility:
Support to strengthen pitching skills and present businesses to partners, stakeholders, and potential supporters.
Market Linkages and Customer Access
Hands-on support to help businesses reach new customers, access new markets and platforms, and strengthen strategies for attracting and retaining clients.
Ongoing Advisory Support
Advisory support beyond formal sessions to sustain momentum and reinforce learning.
Your contributions will be used to lower participation fees for the youth entrepreneurs enrolled in YSEP — helping them secure long-term support and investment.
If fundraising goals are surpassed, additional funds will support enhanced program activities, such as supporting participation in networking and ecosystem events in Kigali and additional mentorship and exposure opportunities.
Every contribution—small or large—helps ensure that promising young entrepreneurs can access the skills, mentorship, and networks they need to grow.
