Our Work
Through our work, we identified two critical needs for Rwandan youth: better access to networks, mentorship, and resources for transitioning to higher education and the job market, and increased investment in youth-led social enterprises and job creation. These insights revealed systemic gaps hindering youth potential, despite their ability to innovate and contribute to Rwanda’s socio-economic development. In April 2024, we launched the Vanguard Economics Foundation
(VE Foundation) to move from analysis to action. Our mission is to address these challenges and create tangible opportunities for Rwanda’s youth to thrive as leaders, innovators, and change makers. At the heart of the Foundation are four core pillars:
